3 kids were drowned in a pond during a religious ceremony organized at a pond located in Putari, Maheshpur of the district. The ceremony was organized at the bank of the pond for drowning the idols of God Krishna after offering puja to them. Two boys and a girl of the same locality lost their lives in the incident reported police inspector Laldhawaj Subedi.

The Acting committee of Nepali Congress will convene today at 11 am for finalizing its policies and programs. During the meeting, the remaining members will comment on the policies and programs. Central Committee member Uma Regmi informed that after studying and discussion the draft of policy and programs, the meeting will be presented in the General Convention of the party for formally endorsing it. Sadikshya Shrestha has been crowned the Miss Nepal 2010 title amid a glittering ceremony held at the Tribhuvan Army Officers' Club in Kathmandu Wednesday evening. Giving continuity to the tight security policy in the capital, the police authorities nabbed a criminal gang for their involvement in various robberies and extortionist. The police reported that they had nabbed four persons along with their vehicles for demanding ransom from KMC-10, Baneshwor resident Preetam Rai. Finance Secretary Rameshwor Prasad Khanal claimed that the government could bring full budget even before presenting the policy and programs.
