NC CHALLENGES MAOISTS TO COME UP WITH FIVE-POINT STRATEGY

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress today mooted a five point path with the objective of paving a way out of the latest political crises with the opposition wrecking business in the house and vice president persona non grata pending amendment in the constitution and fresh oath to Parmanand Jha while the government to enjoys a longevity.
This came at an interaction session organzed by the Reporters Club Nepal in which iits leader Arjun Narsingh KC advised the Maoists to move impeachment motion against President Ram Baran Yadav, bill to amendment the constition to pave way for the better definition of the rights of the constituional bodies, a separate proposal that attracts consemsus among parties on the amdement and no confidence motion against the Prime minister.
"This is the only way . If they can achiev this they can certainly achieve their objective. Add to it the bill to amend army act," KC said throwing a challenge to the Maoist leadership.
Meanwhile Maoist leader Dina Nath Sharma put up a question as to which law has stopped stricture motion against President Ram Baran Yadav. The query is in response to the need to initiate such a move which is not being taken by the ruling paries.
He accused the CPN-UML and the NC of stopping such a move, adding that his party was now going to dislodge the government by street agitation. He however conceded that his party was still in favor talks if the Prime Minister comes up with admissible agenda and concessions.
