POLICE VERY CLOSE TO NABBING KILLERS; RULES OUT LINKS WITH ISI
February 08 2010

KATHMANDU: Minister of State for Home Rizwan Ansari has today claimed that the police was very much close to nabbing Zamim Shah killers. “We are taking all the precaution to nab the killers,” Ansari said while speaking at an interaction session organized by Reporters Club Nepal.

Saying that the police have found hand of the organizers gangs behind the killing, Ansari said “police was still trying to assess which international gang was behind the killing.” Conceding that the security agencies have failed to stop the crime from taking place, he said that the capital will be deemed as insecure if the killers are not arrested.

He also conceded that the security has been weaker in the recent weeks even as he said that there was a need to ensure stepped up security ring. He said that there was no need to link him with ISI as of now and that there is a different ring surrounding the killing.

He also denied any link that linked Shah with underworld gangs. He also cited how big people are often under threat.
