ROLPA: The discharge of disqualified combatants has come to an end today with the UNMIN team taking the issue to logical conclusion by discharging as many as 4000 Maoist cadres.

The process which had begun with the discharge of Maoist cadres from Sindhuli has come to an end with the UNMIN team discharging unfit combatants from camps in Nawalaparasi, Ilam, Kailali, Surkhet and Rolpa.

The ceremony was sombre with Maoist workers shaking hands with Prachanda and other Maoist leaders who had arrived for the event with heavy heart.
