KATHMANDU: Kiran Bedi, a noted former police officer from India, is not only in Kathmandu but scheduled to share her experience on the occasion of International Women's Day amid a function at Reporters Club Nepal.

Bedi, who rocked the men's world of policing by her legendary skills, had shot to fame before retiring in rather ignonimous way when she was denied promotion to Police Commissioner of New Delhi.

Someone who had drilled a hole in the world ran by men ---- and macho  at that ----- was finally edged out by a male colleague which had come as a huge setback to her.

She currently runs a television show " Aap Ki Kachahari" (Your Court) on television channel is contributed by bringing families together while also holding out succour to the oppressed women who are meted out worst by spouses and families.
