KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal today said that the government can wangle the new constitution on time if the Maoists cooperate ahead.
However Prime Minister also lamented the fact that the government was left to pay unwarranted expenditure largely because the Maoist outfit has unauthorized fighters in the cantonments.
“There are too may unauthorized people in the cantonments. That is affecting the peace process and the integration of the armies,” Prime Minister Nepal said.
He also said that the Maoist leaders were busy imparting military training in the cantonments which is violation of the code of conduct reached.
He said this while speaking at a function organized by the women’s wing of the CPN-UML on the occasion of the centenary of Women’s Day in the capital.
He also lamented that a large section of women were still not enjoying the rights due to them largely because there is a lot to be done in this connection.
