KATHMANDU MARCH 9: The government has decided to take up the issue of seeking dossiers on the combatants in the cantonments from UNMIN seriously. A third letter is being dashed to UNMIN sooner.
The government has decided to write for the third time after coming to the conclusion that it was not honest and serious on why the government is seeking the information.
The government had sought the information after definite reports of the 40 percent combatants missing from the cantonments while the government is paying unchanged amount for 19000.
It may be said that UNMIN is citing the clause relating to confidentiality on the issue and has thus declined to pass on any dossier in the past.
It is learned that Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has written to Ministry of Peace and Reconstruction on Sunday with the letter expected to be dashed to UNMIN by Wednesday.
