KATHMANDU MARCH 9: The Constituent Assembly is today scheduled to revise the timeline governing drafting and promulgating the new constitution.
That has become inevitable with the parties in the Constituent Assembly still failing to come to consensus on as many as 9 thematic drafts following unchanged positions.
Speaker Subas Nembang who has been giving serious try in having the top leaders come to consensus has finally decided to announce the new timeline.
However he has made a point to not to offset the May 28 deadline limiting the revision within that deadline. This will however, as he said on Monday, require the parties to concentrate only on the new constitution if the nation can expect to meet the deadline.
He has also hinted that the parties may not be able to work out a detailed constitution, thus concedeing that complete constitution may not come on May 28.
