KATHMANDU: Minister of State for Home Rizwan Ansari has today resigned out of office following the advice from Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal.

Prime Minister Nepal had told him to resign following controversial remarks made by him saying Home Minister Bhim Rawal was responsible for poor law and order.

He has tendered his resignation following talks with party President Jhala Nath Khanal. The latter had also told him to resign,source said.

Prime Minister's office has said that the resignation has come under clause 39 of the interim constitution. He is only one elected member of the constituent assembly out of ten in the cabinet.
