RISHI DHAMALA in NEW DELHI: The Indian side is more in favor of a new constitution coming into force in Nepal rather than any change of guard at the moment.
This has come from Deputy Prime Minister B K Gachachadar while talking with reportersnepal.com in New Delhi in the course of the five day visit to the Indian capital.
"The Indian side is more in favor of an early constitution than any change of guard," Gachchadar told after meeting with Indian External Affairs Minister S M Krishna, Foreign Secretary Nirupaman Roy, Speaker Mira Kumar and Security Advisor to Prime Minister Shiv Shankar Menon.
He also said that India was in favor of political stability in Nepal. He said that the Indian side was in favor of early political normalcy in Nepal so that there is less affect on security in the region.
He also said that the Indian side has promised to cooperate in the Nepalese peace process.
