KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML is rocked by the resignation tendered by Minister of State for Home Rizwan Ansari. He was told to resign by Prime Minister Madhav Kumarn Nepal following pressure from Home Minister Bhim Rawal.

Ansari, who had tendered his resignation on Wednesday, has set in a row in the party with the central committee witnessing stiff opposition to the same. Party President Jhala Nath Khanal who had told him to resign yesterday is expected to raise the issue in the standing committee.

The same is likely to figure in the central committee meeting later today.
