RISHI DHAMALA in NEW DELHI: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Raj Nath Singh today told the visiting Deputy Prime Minister B K Gachchadar that he will take initiatives to have Nepal as a Hindu state.
He said this while talkingwith Gachachadar a short while ago in New Delhi."Singh has reassured us that he will make efforts to have Nepal a Hindu state," Gachachadar told reporters after meeting Singh.
He has also been claimed to have said that the Maoists must live to peace deal.
Earlier Indian leaders have suggested that the UCPN-Maoist must democratize itself and contribute to both constitution building and peace process.
This has come out in meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Bijay Kumar Gachachadar who is on a five day visit to New Delhi.
While Gachachadar has talked with Indian External Affairs Minister S M Krishna in the morning he is scheduled to meet with BJP Presidnet Raj Nath Singh later in the evening.
"Krishna has paid special attention to the initiatives coming from parties to take the peace process to its logical end," Gachachadar attributed Krishna as saying.
Krishan has been claimed to have stuck to the known Indian stance on the Nepalese peace process and the need to take the peace process to its logical conclusion.
He has been claimed to have stressed the need on the part of the Maoist leadership to stick to the peace process. He is later scheduled to meet with Singh at his residence in New Delhi.
