Senior leader of Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur has expressed his optimism of getting the support of UML for forming a majority government in NC leadership before August 2. While speaking to journalists at a press meet organized at his residence in Budhanilkantha, Deuba backed up his claim by forwarding the fact that NC had supported UML leadership before this. Capitalizing on that fact, he claimed that it was now UML's turn to return that favor. He said that the "ball is in the court of UML". 

Expressing his willingness of doing anything for making Ram Chandra Poudel prime  minister he expressed his firm belief that the new government will be in the leadership of Ram Chandra Poudel. Accepting the need of a national consensus government, Deuba further informed of incorporating Maoist while forming government in their leadership.
