UNESCO-CONFUCIUS AWARD AWARDED TO NEPAL

United Nation's Education Scientific and Cultural Organization has decided to award Nepal this years international literacy award to Nepal. The organization has decided to award the UNESCO Confucius award to Nepal's Informal Education Centre reported the Chinese news agency Xinhua. The award was established by UNESCO in cooperation of China.

 

According the UNESCO headquarters in the French capital Paris, said that the Informal Education Centre of Nepal was being awarded the prize for its incessant efforts in conducting the program across the nation.  The award is awarded to any institution across the world for their use of new technologies in promoting literacy and for increasing literacy rates. The award will be given on September 8 on the occasion World Literacy Day at UNESCO headquarters in Paris, France.
