NC URGES MAOIST FOR MAKING WAY FOR CONSENSUS

The parliamentary party meeting of Nepali Congress (NC) on Thursday held at the parliamentary party (PP) office at Singhdurbar concluded by urging the Maoist for paving way for forging consensus among political parties. The meeting made an appeal to the Maoist for integrating its combatants and to give up its arms to the state for forging consensus.
Speaking to journalist after the meeting NC vice president Ram Chandra Poudel urged the Maoist Chairman for resolving their combatant issue instead of withdrawing his prime ministerial candidacy for forging consensus.
While deciding to continue participating in the election till it reached a conclusion, the party also urged other political parties for supporting its Prime Ministerial candidate party vice chairman and parliamentary party leader Ram Chandra Poudel in the coming sixth round of election.
The PP meeting also decided to levy charges from the party's lawmakers, central committee members, lawmakers and chairman and vice chairman and chief whip for supplementing the expenses of the general convention.
The PP meeting discussed the agendas and policies to be tabled in the general convention of the party. Meanwhile the party's central committee meeting is currently underway for finalizing the agendas and policies for the general convention of the party. NC leader Uma Regmi informed that the meeting will be discussing the report prepared by the Policy and Program Drafting Committee. Central Committee members will be commenting on the draft today informed Gopal Man Shrestha.
