Vice Chairman of Unified CPN Maoist Dr. Baburam Bhattarai said that both Prime Ministerial candidate should withdraw their candidacy if they fail to gain majority in the sixth round of PM election on September 5. Arguing that the nation should not be kept in a governmentless state he said that new basis should be sought after the sixth round of election.

 

 

While speaking at a function in Gorkha early today, former Finance Minister Bhatttarai expressed his suspicions that some groups on the pretext of present status quo  are plotting for dissolving the Constitutional Assembly and for imposing a military regime headed by the President. He argued that the recent movements of ex monarchs son and daughter were prelude to such ploy.

 

Commenting on the query of a journo, Bhattarai claimed that the report presented by him in the Central Committee of his party was the most scientific and rational of them all. He further added that he had proposed for drafting constitution  and institutionalizing peace process for preventing the nation from entering into another conflict. Bhattarai further clarified that the party leadership did not had any misunderstandings regarding party's future line.
