Prime Minister of the caretaker government Madhav Kumar Nepal expressed discontent over the report presented by UNMIN Nepal representative Karen Landgren in the UN Security Council on Sept. 8. In her report Landgren has outlined that pulling out Nepal Army from the UNMIN monitoring would seriously question the mission's existence in Nepal.
The PM expressed his deep dissatisfaction with the ambassadors of the permanent members of the UN Security Council today reported his political advisor Rajan Bhattarai. The PM further accused that the report of the UNMIN chief had encroached with in the internal affairs of Nepal and was an attempt of tampering the image of Nepal at the international level.
In response, the ambassadors said that the separate letters sent by government and the Maoists have raised serious question regarding the peace process among the well wishers of the nation. They further suggested the PM for moving ahead by forging consensus among political parties.
